Privacy & Cookies

Statcounter (visit counter)

This site uses Statcounter, a third-party analytics service, to record anonymised visit statistics such as approximate location, browser and which pages are viewed. Statcounter sets a cookie in your browser to recognise repeat visits. It only loads after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit — if you click "Decline", or don't respond, it never loads and no cookie is set. Statcounter (based in the EU) acts as an independent controller of that data under their own privacy policy.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page.

What this site otherwise does not do

Beyond Statcounter, we don't run Google Analytics or any advertising or retargeting service, we don't embed Google Fonts or YouTube (which would otherwise send your IP address to Google), and we don't use any third-party advertising.

Booking and maps

Booking: when you start a booking through the "Check availability" button, you are taken to our booking system (beds24.com / xmlcal.com), which may set a technical cookie needed to process your booking. This only happens if you actively start a booking, and is covered by their own privacy policy.

Maps: links to Google Maps on this site open in a new tab on Google's own website. We don't embed a Google Map on our pages, so no data is sent to Google unless you click through.

Contact and enquiry forms

If you email or call us, we use your details only to answer your enquiry or manage your booking, and to meet our legal obligations (for example, Austrian guest registration requirements). We don't share your details with anyone else for marketing purposes.
