Wagrain – Flying Mozart

The lift which is shared with the bike park can take you near to the mountain’s summit where you choose to either continue and ‘conquer’ the peak or enjoy a walk down thorugh the mountain trails and pathways.

WagrainGraffenberg *family favourite* This lift takes you to the top of the Graffenberg mountain in Wagrain.  From here there is an excellent route with info points and adventure play parks which are just fantastic for ‘breaking’ up the family hike.

Wagrain also has an excellent swimming pool with activities both inside and outside; whicih is a fitting reward after a hard morning!

Alpendorf Ghost Walk *family favourite*

Lift access partially up the mountain.  Then there is quite a steep climb to the next transfer point where a tractor bus whisks you up to the summit where you start your ghostly trail.  Each child is given a card which they stamp correctly at each info point.  Each info point is ghost themed with some interesting history about Austria’s ghouls!

Therme Amade *family favourite*

About an hour’s valley walk from Haus Susanne or a 20min ride.  The Therm was opened in 2010 and has Austria’s only looping water slide!  A large pool with a wave machine, 5 meter diving platforms plus a hot spa pool which goes both inside and outside.  The Therm also offers sauna and steam rooms along with massages and all the pampering parents require!

Zauchensee Dawn Lift.

If you are a really early bird and happen to be here at the right time (normally the first weekend in the month) you can catch a 4am lift to Gamskogal in Zauchensee and watch the sun rise over the mountain tops before a spot of breakfast and either a hike up… or down!
